Itinerary
City Tour Arequipa + Santa Catalina Monastery
Arequipa City tour, starts according to the timetable indicated, which can be in the morning or in the afternoon.
We will start the city tour with a visit to the viewpoint of Carmen Alto, where you can appreciate the imposing Misti Volcano (5800 masl), Chachani (6000 masl), Pichu Pichu (5300 masl) that surrounds the White City of Arequipa.
Continuing our City tour Arequipa, we will go to the district of Yanahuara, here we will visit the Mirador de Yanahuara, where predominate the arches built with different slogans of Arequipa, built with the White Ashlar.
Then we will go to the historic center of Arequipa, visiting the Plaza de Armas which is surrounded by the portals built with ashlar.
Continuing we will visit the Cathedral of Arequipa, built in 1656, which is considered one of the first religious monuments, then we will visit the Convent of the Company of Jesus, considered as the highest expression of religious architecture, built by the Jesuits.
o And to finish our tour we will visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina (1580), a small city built with ashlar in an area of 20 thousand m2.
